Formal-methods-imported's link to distributional shift splits along a fault line neither theme names on its own. Reachability analysis and robust policy improvement appear earlier, in the same section, as reactive fallbacks, conservative baseline policies to switch to once shift is suspected, independent of any contract language. Model repair is different: the paper introduces it only inside the contracts discussion, as the technique for restoring a violated contract after the fact by altering an already-trained model, rather than switching to a pre-built conservative policy (concrete-problems, §"A unifying view: counterfactual reasoning and machine learning with contracts.", p. 19).
